Metropolitan Services Credit Union is not open to the public. We are a not-for-profit financial cooperative serving current and former employees of Metropolitan Council and their families. If you are related to a current Member by blood, adoption or marriage, you are eligible to open an account.

How to Open an Account at Metropolitan Services Credit Union

You can use the New Account Application below to start the application process. You will also need to provide a photocopy of your driver's license or photo identification.

If you do not wish to apply online, you may download and complete our printable Membership Application Form. You can then bring your completed form along with your photo ID and opening deposit to our office or mail it to us at: MSCU, 475 Etna Street, Suite 10, St. Paul, MN 55106.

The first step to opening an account at MSCU is to deposit a minimum of $5 into a Share Savings Account. This deposit represents your share in our member-owned Credit Union. Please review our Membership and Account Agreement. When you open an account, we will ask for a photocopy of your drivers’ license or other photo identification. We may also verify your identity through a credit report or other electronic verification systems. We will also require a minimum $5 Share deposit (cash or check payable to Metropolitan Services Credit Union). You can come into our office with your deposit or call the Credit Union at 651-602-8105 with a card number to make your deposit and open your account.
