What Charges Do I Pay?

  • You pay for the cost of printing your checks (first order is free).
  • You pay a $3.00 monthly fee if your balance falls below $300.00
  • After 30 checks clear per monthly statement there will be a $.20 charge per check.
  • You will be responsible for any N.S.F. check expenses.
  • You will pay $.50 per check for Remote Deposit.
  • You will be charged a minimal fee for copies of original checks and stop payments.

  • Free online services such as OneClick and Bill Pay.
  • Each check has a convenient carbon copy.
  • Each check is numbered on your statement for easier balancing.
  • Interest paid on balances over $25.00.

Cash Cards

  • Instant cash cards may be used at any major ATM network (FastBank, Express Teller, Instant Cash, Shazam, etc.) There is also a cash machine located in the West Security Building at the Metro Plant.
  • You may deposit or withdraw from your savings or checking account.
  • There will be a $5.00 application fee. You will receive 4 free deposits and 4 free withdrawals per month. There will be a $1.00 fee for each transaction over 4.
  • Lost/stolen cash card? Call (800) 535-8440 anytime day or night.

Direct Deposit/Payroll Deduction

Direct deposit means convenience, safety and added dividends for you. Deposits are made available at the start of business each day.

Payroll deduction is available to any employee of the Metropolitan Council and allows you to divide your direct deposit among multiple accounts. You can route your deposit primarily into in your checking account but also pay a monthly loan payment and/or set aside some funds in a holiday savings account. You can even have money deposited into accounts for your spouse and children. The choice is yours.

You may arrange for direct deposit of the following payments:

  • Your Salary (check eligibility with your payroll department)
  • Civil or Military Service (or any Federal Salary)
  • Social Security Checks
  • Railroad Retirement
  • Annuities or Pension Checks
